Our Beliefs

The Scriptures are the final authority for all that we believe. 2 Timothy 3:16–17 “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” (ESV) In brief, we use a “Word for Word” (ie.ESV) Bible translations for study. The “inspired” Word of God is in its original language Greek and Hebrew. Word for Word Bibles are translated as close to the original as possible. We also take the Bible “as written” ; which simply means when the context is figurative, metaphor and literal, we understand it as it is.

So here are the generals;

The Bible tells us that mankind is sinful and that no sinful person can enter into heaven, because that is where the very presence of God is, and He is perfect and without sin.

The ten commandments, tell us of God’s law and that everyone has broken God’s law by lying, stealing, lusting or hating people. Ask yourself the question; have I ever lied? The Bible say’s that if you break one law, you’ve broken them all. We do not adhere to the ceremonial laws nor to the dietary laws as those laws were given to the Jews in their context at a time in place in history. There are however principles from the ceremonial & dietary laws that are helpful for healthy living. The moral law of God stands for all time & all people. It is summed up in one command by Jesus in Matthew 22:37–40; this law we are called as believers to fulfill.

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” (ESV)

God is Holy, and if He judges you right now by His law; would you be innocent or guilty? Would you go to heaven or hell? Our conscience tells us the truth about ourselves. It approves when we do right and drives us crazy when we do wrong! If you are honest about your sinful position - you would realize that you need a Savior to save you from your sins. The Savor is Jesus, the only perfect God-man. He died on a cross to pay for your sin, so you don’t have to. You need Him, we all need Him. Talk to God about it, and ask forgiveness. Read the Bible, and talk to God about what you read.

The word “Gospel” means “Good News.”

The Good News is Jesus came, lived, died, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven.

Jesus will return for His church!

The gospel + nothing = everything. There are some “other” gospels out there, which are no “gospel at all.” The moment you have to add something to be modern it is no longer the gospel but becomes ‘a gospel’ that does not save!

Salvation is by GRACE, through FAITH, it is a gift of God for everyone who believes. Romans 5.2, Ephesians 2.8

“And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”

Acts 2:21

THERE IS ONE GOD

Who is infinitely perfect , existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

JESUS CHRIST IS FULLY GOD & FULLY MAN

He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died upon the cross, the Just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures. He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on high as our great High Priest. He will come again to establish His kingdom of righteousness and peace.

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS A DIVINE PERSON

Sent to indwell, guide, teach, and empower the believer, and to convince the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment.

THE OLD AND NEW TESTATEMENTS ARE INERRANT AS ORIGNALLY GIVEN

They were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of people. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice.

HUMANKIND, ORIGINALLY CREATED IN THE IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF GOD FELL THROUGH DISOBEDIENCE

Incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All people are born with a sinful nature, are separated from the life of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ. The destiny of the impenitent and unbelieving is existence forever in conscious torment, but that of the believer is everlasting joy and bliss.

SALVATION HAS BEEN PROVIDED ONLY THROUGH JESUS CHRIST

Those who repent and believe in Him are united with Christ through the Holy Spirit and are thereby regenerated (born again), justified, sanctified and granted the gift of eternal life as adopted children of God.

IT IS THE WILL OF GOD THAT IN UNION WITH CHRIST EACH BELIEVER SHOULD BE SANCTIFIED THOROUGHLY

Thereby being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to God, receiving power for holy living and sacrificial and effective service toward the completion of Christ's commission. This is accomplished through being filled with the Holy Spirit which is both a distinct event and progressive experience in the life of the believer.

PROVISION IS MADE IN THE REDEMPRIVE WORK OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST FOR THE HEALING OF THE MORTAL BODY

Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil as taught in the Scriptures are privileges for the Church in this present age.

JESUS CHRIST IS THE HEAD OF THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH

Consisting of all those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, regenerated by the Holy Spirit, and commissioned by Christ to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the Gospel to all nations.

THERE SHALL BE A BODILY RESURRECTION

For the just and the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgement.

THE RETURN OF CHRIST

His Return is imminent and it will be personal and visible. As the believer's blessed hope, this vital truth is an incentive for holy living and sacrificial service toward the completion of Christ's commission.
